For
Clarinet and Piano
This
is a Jazzy one movement work making use of ostinati. Beginning
at an Allegro tempo with rippling piano figures over which the
clarinet plays a lively syncopated line. The second section
is slower and makes use of the rich texture of the Chalameau
register (lower register) of the clarinet. From there the remainder
of the piece develops the material from the first and second
sections with much interplay between the two instruments.
